As a veterinary medicine student, I have been fortunate to gain extensive hands-on experience working with a wide variety of animals in both clinical and animal care settings. My background includes caring for domestic pets, small mammals, reptiles, birds, horses, and exotic species, giving me the confidence to adapt to the individual needs of every animal I meet.

Alongside my studies, I currently work in a specialist veterinary hospital, where I support both clients and veterinary teams in providing the highest standard of patient care. I also have several years of experience as a Clinical Veterinary Care Assistant, working closely with veterinary surgeons and nurses, assisting with patient handling, preparing animals for procedures, maintaining high hygiene standards, and helping with the day-to-day care of hospitalised patients.

 

In addition, my previous roles in veterinary reception and customer care have helped me develop excellent communication skills and an understanding of the importance of building trusting relationships with both pets and their owners.
